TITLE OF POST: REGIONAL FUNDRAISING MANAGER (SOUTHERN REGION)

low-threshold entry services, primarily to younger persons with
complex needs, which offer pathways out of homelessness within a
framework of equal opportunities, dignity and respect.

Peter McVerry Trust is Ireland?s largest homeless charity and a
growing provider of housing solutions to people impacted by
homelessness across Ireland. The charity is opening an office in Cork
City to service and support our operations in the Southern Region,
across Cork and Kerry.
The Regional Fundraising Manager role will be responsible for the
development and implementation of Peter McVerry Trust?s fundraising
strategy for the Southern area. The successful candidate will be
expected to work across a number of fundraising streams including
fundraising events and activities, liaising with donors and
stakeholders across corporate, community and individual networks. The
manger will be expected to meet key objectives and targets to ensure
the organisation?s funding needs and development plans are met.
Working closely with other senior members of the fundraising team the
role will play a key part in ensuring the organisations fundraising
targets are delivered and that funding is provided to key frontline
operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* To work closely with the Senior Fundraising Team including the
Director of Fundraising to deliver high impact regional fundraising
strategy.
* To identify opportunities to grow and strengthen Peter McVerry
Trust?s fundraising activities in the region
* To work with team members & Managers across the respective
fundraising sectors to support and deliver appeals across corporate,
community, events and individual income streams
* To review KPIs and appeal/work plans regularly with Director of
Fundraising to ensure quarterly targets and objectives are met.
_REGIONAL FUNDRAISING_
* To develop and implement Peter McVerry Trust fundraising strategy,
ensuring all fundraising efforts are carried out to the highest
standard.
* To build positive relationships with existing and new donors,
providing support and advice and maximising potential income
* To expand our community fundraising appeals in the region
including World Habitat Day, Opening Doors and Schools? appeals, and
build new and sustainable income streams.
* To give talks and presentations to a range of community groups,
schools and organisations to increase awareness and support for Peter
McVerry Trust
* To represent the organisation at cheque presentations and
functions as required.
* To ensure all fundraising activities are carried out in line with
good practice, PMVT?s policies and procedures as well as relevant
legislation.
_VOLUNTEER COORDINATION_
* To manage the recruitment of volunteers to support fundraising work
in the region.
* Carry out volunteer inductions and ensure volunteer information
packs and details are up to date.
* Manage, supervise and evaluate the work of fundraising volunteers
supporting activities in the region.
OTHER DUTIES:
* Assist with the management of Peter McVerry Trust?s Southern Area
Office
* Any other duties as designated by the Director of Fundraising
REQUIREMENTS:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant area.
* Minimum 5 years? experience in fundraising with a proven track
record of meeting KPIs, financial targets and delivering income
growth.
* Experience of building long-lasting relationships with a range of
individuals and organisations.
* Open and friendly manner, with excellent communication skills ?
verbal and written, including delivering presentations.
* Experience of managing multiple tasks to deadlines and
prioritising work; highly organised and ability to work under
pressure.
* Knowledge of GDPR, fundraising codes of practice and other
relevant legislation.
* Willingness to travel throughout region, attend fundraising events
outside of normal working hours ? evenings, weekends, and bank
holidays (Time off in lieu policy will apply).
* Full clean driver?s license and access to a car.
